The aim of this work is to explore the manufacturing insulation structures using fused filament deposition biosourced materials. approach considers printing Polylactic acid (PLA) and PLA-flax (PF) varied infill density temperatures. Differential Scanning Calorimetry Thermal Gravimetry analysis are performed study thermal behaviour PLA PF derive weight content fibres within PF. measurements show a strong dependence conductivity with slightly improved compared PLA. Moreover, both hydrophobic unlike conventional green concretes based on hemp or flax. In addition, scanning electron optical microscopies marked morphological changes induced by laying down process for This latter exhibits more complex tortuous microstructure presence inter-filament porosity. concludes superior hygrothermal properties other materials such as flax concrete. also beneficial role that provides better printed well need optimize characteristics including cell morphology density.
